OVMI-printed Denomination Numeral

The denomination numeral is printed in the middle on the front of the note. When the banknote is tilted, the color of the numeral "50" changes between green and blue, with a bright band rolling up and down.

Portrait Watermark

When the banknote is held up to the light, the Mao Zedong portrait watermark is visible on the left of the front.

Offset–printed see-through register

Viewed against the light, partial images in the lower left corner on the front and in the lower right corner on the back match up to form a complete image of "50", the denomination numeral.

Highlight Watermark

When the banknote is held up to the light, the denomination numeral “50” is visible in the lower left corner on the front.

Intaglio Printing

Printed in intaglio on the front of the note are the portrait of Mao Zedong, the national emblem, "the People’s Bank of China" in Chinese characters, the decorative floral pattern, the denomination numeral in the upper right corner, and the denomination numeral in Braille. The main image on the back of the note is also printed in intaglio. The raised prints can be felt by touch.

Demetalised windowed security thread with dynamic and optically variable effect

Embedded on the right side of the front of the note, the security thread changes color between red and green when the banknote is tilted, with a bright band rolling up and down, and "¥50" is visible against the light.
